Case study 01

AU-Van

Book a seat on the university van, right inside LINE

  • Booking that never double-books: students can hold a seat, pay before a deadline, or join a waitlist. The database itself stops two people from getting the same seat. A test races eight students for one seat and exactly one wins.
  • Messages that don’t get lost: booking updates go out through LINE and are sent again if something fails. There is also a small LINE app for students and an admin site where staff can lay out the seats visually.
  • A real cloud setup: I wrote a full AWS setup across two data centers as code with Terraform. The live demo runs on one server with Docker. On every pull request, 8 automatic checks run 430 Java tests, 303 web tests and 10 end-to-end tests.

Case study 02

VetMiMi

Booking, video sessions and easy posting for an art therapist in Sydney

  • Booking and private video sessions in two languages, built with Go and WebRTC (live video in the browser). The database itself stops two bookings from overlapping.
  • Write once, post everywhere: one draft becomes posts for the website, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Posts are approved first and go out on schedule. AI can suggest a version for each channel.
  • A small AWS setup: set up with Terraform and live on one EC2 server. Each deploy runs automatically from GitHub and rolls back if a health check fails. There are backups to S3 and CloudWatch alarms. I also ran it on a bigger ECS Fargate and RDS setup, then took that down.

Where I’ve worked.

  1. Software Developer (Remote)

    EffortX Foundation

    September 2025 - Present

    At EffortX, I work on effort.giving, a charity giving platform. I'm on a team of about ten people and I've merged 483 pull requests in 14 months. I work with NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis and Next.js.

    Most of my work is on the backend. I built the backend of the admin cockpit, which puts 24 kinds of pending work like payouts and refunds into one inbox. I made Stripe refunds safe to retry, so no refund is paid or recorded twice. I also built the refund and payout screens in the admin portal and the alerts behind the team's Discord monitoring, so each problem posts one message instead of many.

    In October 2026 I ran the production release of five apps from the founder's runbook, with a backup and a check at every step.

  2. QA Automation Engineer (Internship)

    Kasikorn Business Technology Group (KBTG)

    July 2026 - September 2026

    At KBTG, I turned business requirements into test cases for large financial apps. I tested normal cases, error cases and edge cases.

    I wrote automated tests with Robot Framework and Python. They ran for system tests, user acceptance tests, regression checks and before each release. I kept them easy to reuse and maintain by sharing common steps and keeping test data and settings separate.

  3. Full Stack Developer (Part-time, Hybrid)

    Kiddee Lab Thailand

    April 2025 - Present

    Kiddee Lab ran its day-to-day work on paper forms and scattered records. As the school's only developer, I built a learning and customer system (an LMS and CRM) to replace them. More than 800 people use it.

    I built the backend, the APIs and the database for students, parents, class schedules, courses and customer follow-ups, using React, Java and PostgreSQL. I also moved more than 10,000 old records into the new system and checked that nothing was lost or changed.

    I also built a 15-page admin portal for the school's public website. Parents get class reminders in LINE and can confirm or move a class in a small LINE app. A chatbot on the website answers their questions about courses.

    The best part was starting from how the team really worked, then turning that into software that is simple to use and easy to keep up.

D*CODE Research Laboratory

At D*CODE, I looked for a way to make a university website easier to update, while keeping full control of the server. I built a working prototype: a self-hosted CMS using Next.js, WordPress, Docker and AWS EC2.

I moved two old university websites, vms.au.edu and vme.au.edu, into one new site, vmes.au.edu, used by more than 1,000 students. I built and updated the pages with WordPress and Beaver Builder.

I helped more than 20 students with programming basics, object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms. Teaching taught me to explain hard ideas in simple words.

About

Away from the keyboard, I’m usually running.

I’m a software engineer from Myanmar, living in Bangkok. Most of what I do is for my mom back home.

Since I was young, I’ve liked being around people and helping where I can. Looking back, most of the good things in my life came from that. During COVID I volunteered with the Jesuits, getting food and supplies to families in hard-to-reach areas. That experience helped me get a full scholarship to study Computer Science at Assumption University.

At university I worked from my first year. Every job led to the next because someone trusted me with more. My dean introduced me to Kiddee Lab, where I became their only developer. A LinkedIn post led me to EffortX, where I now help ship production releases.

It shows in how I work too. I ask the questions that matter, figure out the rest myself and make sure we agree on what we’re building before I start. I like taking a messy, real problem and turning it into something people can trust.

Outside work I run marathons and swim. My favorite part of a run is when I feel I can’t keep going, because getting past that point is the best feeling. When I’m not running, I’m usually with my girlfriend.
